Custom Fascinator and Wedding Veil | 2019

Testing materials and the proportions based on the clients measurements. For final materials, I used ivory antique silk peau de soie and Russian veiling. The crystal embellishment was made from deconstructing a vintage necklace.

I made this custom fascinator for a friend’s bridal shower in August 2019. This is before sewing the cotton grosgrain inside to have a clean finish.

An informal quick sketch of how the veil would look with her chosen gown. I was originally going to sew a lace bolero, but it ended up being too heavy with the dress.
